Scott is Armor’s licensed residential contractor. He began his career in construction directly out of high school as a lumber company delivery driver, eventually working his way up to an outside sales position. When the housing market crashed in 2007, he turned a devastating layoff into an opportunity to try his hand at entrepreneurship. Armor Homes was built from the ground up as Scott learned and added each construction trade to his service offerings one by one. With his attention to detail, vast industry knowledge, and a sincere desire to serve his customers, Scott leads Armor’s team and works closely with its subcontractors. His eye for symmetry and his expertise in exterior finishes are second to none. When he isn’t building, Scott enjoys traveling with April and their two girls, studies finance and health, and spends as much time as possible in the sunshine, whether it be on the golf course or a hiking trail.

After graduating from UGA with a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and a master’s in classroom technology, April spent ten years working as a high school teacher before leaving the classroom in 2018 to help Scott manage Armor Homes as it grew. She, too, has learned on-the-job, and serves Armor Homes as CFO, Human Resources Director, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Customer Service, and head cheerleader. April works closely with homeowners as they make selections and also enjoys designing and selecting finishes for Armor’s own in-house construction projects. Scott and April have two teenage girls who keep them busy with various sports and activities, and you will find the four of them traveling to and fro as often as work and school allow. April enjoys growing flowers, visiting new places, raising money for causes she feels passionately about, and spending time with friends and family.
Fun fact: April can name all of the US presidents in order in less than fifteen seconds.
